Troop 474 Backpacking Equipment
The Troop has recently purchased some good quality backpack equipment for the Troop members to use. The idea is to allow members to experience backpacking with good equipment prior to the parents purchasing items that cost a lot of money. The Troop has, in the past, received donations of used backpack and camping equipment. After going over these items and refurbishing the useable items, they will also be added to the loaner equipment list.
(3) medium youth sized backpacks
(4) 2 man backpacking tents with rain fly. (Good 3 season tents)
(3) youth (5’6”) sleeping bags. (Good quality 20 degree rated)

- Equipment is for use by Troop 474 members on Troop functions only.
- Equipment will be reserved, first come first serve.
- Equipment is to be checked out for a single event only and returned at the next Troop meeting following the event.
- Equipment will be checked out and checked back in by the Scoutmaster or his designee.
- Equipment must be returned in a clean, serviceable condition. Parents/Scouts will be held responsible for any equipment that is returned damage or unserviceable.
- Sleeping bags must be properly cleaned prior to returning. Instructions for proper cleaning will be provided when the sleeping bag is checked out.
- The Troop has the following equipment to loan:
